The event took place at the Vietnam National Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, with the participation of more than 30 Ford EcoSport owners, lecturers and students from the University of Architecture, as well as many journalists and famous guests.
The EcoSport Experience and Innovation Day was designed with a series of exciting driving challenges to showcase the outstanding qualities of this true compact sports utility vehicle. As a "street expert," the EcoSport can be agile on narrow urban streets, accelerate smoothly on highways, and powerfully overcome uneven terrain thanks to its high ground clearance and high, unobstructed view.

OUTSTANDING ADVANTAGES OF THE "Street Expert" EcoSport
In tests designed to challenge the EcoSport's performance capabilities, the compact SUV demonstrated its all-around excellence, from power to exceptional agility.
The EcoSport's power has been significantly improved thanks to two completely new engine options: the renowned 1.0L EcoBoost, which has won the Global Engine of the Year award for five consecutive years, and the 1.5L 3-cylinder Dragon engine using dual variable valve timing (Ti-VCT) technology, resulting in over 20% better fuel economy and 15% reduced emissions. Compared to the previous 1.5L 4-cylinder engine, this new engine is more compact, with a 10% reduction in weight, but a 10% increase in power and a 7% increase in torque. Combined with the new 6-speed hydraulic automatic transmission, the Ford EcoSport offers smooth and efficient operation. Many experts have rated the EcoSport as having the best acceleration in its segment when overtaking on the highway. Acceleration tests conducted by drivers at the event also demonstrate this.
With a chassis largely constructed from ultra-high-strength steel and equipped with standard safety technologies such as electronic stability control, electric power steering, and other features like hill-start assist, rear parking sensors and camera, the EcoSport demonstrates superior flexibility and stability in operation across various terrains. The comprehensive driving skills test, challenging EcoSport drivers to zigzag forward and backward, maneuver on a balance beam, and reverse into a tight parking space, becomes easier than ever thanks to the advantages of this model.
Furthermore, most EcoSport customers are satisfied with the intelligent features and convenience of the SYNC3 infotainment system. SYNC3 allows control of the entertainment system, hands-free phone calls, and the camera and sensor systems, which can provide audio and visual warnings of obstacles, assisting drivers when maneuvering or parking in tight spaces. In addition, the EcoSport is designed with 25 storage compartments and a spacious 348L cargo area. The top-of-the-line EcoSport even comes equipped with up to 6 airbags, ensuring driver safety.
The Edosport's capabilities extend beyond urban areas, making it suitable for long journeys and moderately challenging off-road terrain. With its stable construction and powerful performance, the vehicle easily overcomes the challenges of light off-road driving, providing a certain excitement for the rider.

It's no coincidence that from the very first day of its introduction in Vietnam 5 years ago, the EcoSport immediately created a sensation and achieved stable, steadily increasing sales, leading the small urban SUV segment.
In December 2018, the EcoSport set a monthly sales record with 623 vehicles delivered, bringing its total sales for 2018 to 4,844 vehicles, a 22% increase compared to 2017.
Like the car's personality, the EcoSport user community is incredibly diverse and youthful. EcoSport enthusiasts frequently organize family outings, social gatherings to share experiences on safe driving and car maintenance, as well as various charitable activities.
During the EcoSport Experience and Creativity Day, Ford Vietnam organized a competition where participants decorated their cars according to their personal stories, expressing their individuality and life messages. With the support of architecture students, this competition brought many surprises to the attendees. Standard EcoSport vehicles were transformed into valiant African warriors or stylized cartoon characters, both whimsical and meaningful.
