Luc Ngan is a mountainous district located in the northeastern part of Bac Giang province, about 40 km from Bac Giang city. This is the busiest season of the year for the people of Luc Ngan, as everyone focuses on harvesting lychees. The main lychee harvest must begin at 2 AM so that the farmers can pack them into baskets and take them to the market by 5:30 AM.

During lychee harvest season, all the roads in Luc Ngan seem to be covered in a vibrant red, like a blazing fire under the summer sun. National Highway 279, the section cutting through Tan Son and Cam Son communes (Luc Ngan, Bac Giang), is the "lifeline" during the lychee trading season.
Traffic jams caused by lychee trees can stretch for kilometers, creating a vibrant, red-hued road. Long lines of motorbikes carrying hundreds of kilograms of lychees to collection points at markets further intensify the excitement of the country's biggest lychee harvest season.

If traveling by motorbike from Hanoi, you can take the old National Highway 1A route through Bac Ninh, then change to a more suitable route depending on your schedule. If using a car, you can take the Hanoi – Bac Giang expressway to shorten the journey.
Additionally, buses from Hanoi to Bac Giang usually depart from Gia Lam bus station. You can use this station to find buses to various districts or take connecting buses between Hanoi and Bac Giang city center. Alternatively, you can travel to Bac Giang by train, with two routes passing through the province: Hanoi – Dong Dang and Yen Vien – Ha Long. You can even transport your motorbike on the train if you wish. In Bac Giang, you can use public transportation such as buses or rent a motorbike in the city.
