A jeep carrying 8 people from the Women's Union of District 8 (HCMC) approached the shore of Bau Trang Lake (Bac Binh District, Binh Thuan Province) to take pictures. When preparing to let the guests go home, the vehicle slid down a slope and drifted freely down the lake shore, causing 1 person to die from drowning.

On the afternoon of May 25, the Investigation Police Department of Binh Thuan Province Police blocked off and examined the scene and related vehicles, and requested a forensic examination to clarify the cause of death of a female tourist at Bau Trang tourist area (Bac Binh district).
