On the afternoon of May 25, the Investigation Police Department of Binh Thuan Province Police blocked off and examined the scene and related vehicles, and requested a forensic examination to clarify the cause of death of a female tourist at Bau Trang tourist area (Bac Binh district).
It is known that, according to initial information, at 9:45 am on the same day, Mr. Vong Thanh Cuong (32 years old, employee of a travel company, permanent resident of Group 1, Tan Hoa village, Song Binh commune, Bac Binh district) drove a specialized jeep on the sand dunes. After finishing the photography activity, the group of tourists got on the car and prepared to return to the resting point when suddenly the car had an accident and plunged into the lake.
Bau Trang is located in Hoa Thang commune, Bac Binh district, Binh Thuan province. This is one of the typical destinations of the locality, with a freshwater lake located in the middle of a long white sand dune area.
At this time, the driver shouted for everyone in the car to jump out, but only 7 people escaped. The remaining person and the car drifted down to Bau Trang Lake. After the unfortunate incident, some people in the car and the driver were fortunately rescued by local people in time and brought to shore safely. However, Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy (56 years old, residing in Ward 5, District 8, Ho Chi Minh City) was trapped inside the crashed car. Although the rescue team quickly arrived and proceeded to salvage the victim, when they reached her, she unfortunately did not survive.
At this time, the driver shouted for everyone on the bus to jump out, but only 7 people escaped. The remaining person and the bus drifted down to Bau Trang Lake.
