Information from the Ha Long Bay Management Board said that the unit is collecting opinions on collecting entrance fees on new sightseeing and tourism routes and itineraries in Ha Long Bay to report to the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee for consideration before submitting to the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council for approval.
Three new tour routes include: Discovery route for luxury cruise ships, sightseeing and coastal tourism route of Ha Long Bay for restaurant ships, and fixed route Tuan Chau - Gia Luan (Cat Ba).
Ha Long Bay is seeking opinions on collecting entrance fees on sightseeing routes and itineraries.
The proposed fee for a half-day tour of Ha Long Bay (6:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.) is VND600,000/adult; VND480,000/child, VND300,000/senior; children under 7 years old and under 1.2m tall; and people with disabilities are exempt from all of the above services.
In particular, the sightseeing and tourism route along the coast of Ha Long Bay for restaurant ships with the route Ha Long International Passenger Port - Tuan Chau International Passenger Port - Nam Cau Trang Port is expected to have a fee of 80,000 VND - 100,000 VND/person. The final point of the route is adjacent to Gia Luan, Lan Ha Bay (Hai Phong).

Services such as seaplane tours, scuba diving, kayaking have recently attracted tens of thousands of participants, such as coastal restaurant ships, night cruises, etc., but the Ha Long Bay Management Board has not collected any entrance fees. The goal of collecting fees and strictly controlling tourism services in Ha Long Bay is to contribute to protecting the natural heritage of Ha Long Bay, improving the quality of tourism services, and ensuring the safety of tourists.
The deployment of new services and fee collection, and strict control of tourism activities in Ha Long Bay are expected to contribute to promoting sustainable tourism development here.
