The Civil Aviation Authority said that as of April 8, airlines had provided an average of 100,000 - 110,000 seats per day on domestic routes during the holiday. The number of seats provided increased by about 20% compared to the average flight schedule in March.
The Civil Aviation Authority requested that airlines consider increasing capacity on flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to destinations with high tourism demand such as Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Tuy Hoa, Binh Dinh, Cam Ranh, etc., focusing on April 27-28 and May 1-3.
Increase night flights, limit delays and cancellations during the April 30 - May 1 holidays
Regarding ticket prices, before the holiday, flights with high booking rates such as Hanoi - Phu Quoc had the lowest ticket price of 2.2 million VND (April 29); Ho Chi Minh City - Phu Quoc had the lowest ticket price of 1.5 million VND (April 29); Hanoi - Hue had the lowest ticket price of 1.4 million VND (April 29); Ho Chi Minh City - Tuy Hoa had the lowest ticket price of 1.6 million VND (April 26).
The Civil Aviation Authority stated that up to now, on domestic flights, passengers can still basically book tickets and there are many ticket prices to choose from to suit the conditions and travel needs of each passenger.
The Civil Aviation Authority commented that similar to the peak period of the Lunar New Year, the exploitation of the early holiday is clearly shown. Accordingly, the flight routes from the two major cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to local airports and airports have a higher occupancy rate at the beginning of the holiday period. This rate also gradually shifts from local airports and airports to the two major cities when the holiday ends.
