Travel is fundamentally driven by the innate human desire to explore new things, Yahoo! Finance said. Since countries around the world have completely lifted travel restrictions following the Covid-19 pandemic, people's passion for travel has once again ignited. According to the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism), global tourism will recover to 88% of pre-pandemic levels in 2023 and is expected to surpass that level in 2024.
In mid-March, Yahoo Finance published a short analysis of the tourism situation in Asia, with suggestions for 20 destinations that should be more widely known to tourists. Among them, Hue city, Vietnam, was on the list.
Yahoo Finance believes that Hue is one of the destinations in the S-shaped country that needs to be widely promoted. This city was once the capital of the Nguyen Dynasty, many historical relics of the city are well preserved, including the Imperial Palace (Dai Noi).
Hue ancient capital - the heart of a powerful feudal empire in the early 19th century
"Hue has several UNESCO-recognized heritage sites, including temples, palaces and pagodas, which represent the power and traditions of the country's previous dynasties. Moreover, in the fall, the city is naturally fragrant with sweet scents, creating an interesting experience for visitors," Yahoo Finance describes.
The historical relics of the city have been preserved, conserved and embellished to this day. Notably, the Complex of Hue Monuments was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage with clusters of works inside and outside the Hue Citadel.
The beauty of going back in time in Hue
It can be said that each architectural work in Hue is a unique work of art with special value, expressing philosophical, spiritual and high aesthetic elements. These heritages play a role as a valuable historical - cultural treasure with ancient, sophisticated relics bearing the distinctive architectural imprint of the nation.
Tourists can visit majestic ancient structures with beautiful landscapes such as Quoc Tu Giam, Ky Dai, Hue Royal Fine Arts Museum, temples, palaces, pagodas...; or visit the tombs of kings such as Gia Long Tomb, Minh Mang Tomb, Tu Duc Tomb, Khai Dinh Tomb...
One of the most wonderful activities when visiting the dreamy land of Hue is cruising on the gentle and poetic Perfume River. Drifting on a boat to admire the natural scenery and the city imbued with the color of time gives visitors moments of relaxation and immersing themselves in the land and sky.
The experience becomes even more interesting when night falls, when Truong Tien Bridge sparkles with lights, the boats resound with the elegant sounds of Hue Royal Court music and on the water surface, the lights of flower lanterns carrying everyone's wishes shine brightly.
