Yahoo! Finance states that, fundamentally, travel is driven by the inherent human desire to explore new things. Since countries around the world completely lifted travel restrictions after the Covid-19 pandemic, people's passion for travel has once again been ignited. According to the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism), global tourism recovered to 88% of pre-pandemic levels in 2023 and is expected to surpass that level in 2024.
In mid-March, Yahoo Finance published a short analysis of the tourism situation in Asia, along with suggestions for 20 destinations that should be more widely known to tourists. Among them, Hue city in Vietnam was included.
Yahoo Finance believes Hue is one of the destinations in Vietnam that needs wider promotion. The city, once the capital of the Nguyen dynasty, boasts many well-preserved historical sites, including the Imperial Citadel.
Hue, the ancient capital, was the heart of a powerful feudal empire in the early 19th century.
"Hue boasts several UNESCO-recognized heritage sites, including temples, palaces, and pagodas, showcasing the country's strength and traditions from previous dynasties. Furthermore, in autumn, the city exudes a naturally sweet fragrance, creating a delightful experience for visitors," Yahoo Finance describes.
The city's historical relics have been preserved, protected, and enhanced to this day. Most notably, the Hue Imperial Citadel complex, recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site, comprises numerous structures both inside and outside the citadel.
