Thai Xoe dance was officially inscribed on the UNESCO list of Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on December 15, 2021, in Paris, France. This is a folk dance of the Thai ethnic group in the Northwest provinces, especially in the four provinces of Son La, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, and Yen Bai, with three main types: ceremonial Xoe, circle Xoe, and performance Xoe. Thai Xoe is deeply rooted in ethnic and communal characteristics, spreading widely and becoming a shared performing art of the people in the Northwest region.
The People's Committee of Yen Bai province and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies, units, and localities to develop a detailed plan for organizing the event. In addition, Nghia Lo town and Mu Cang Chai district will be tasked with reviewing infrastructure and tourism products, and closely coordinating with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to ensure the reception ceremony and festival meet all requirements.
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in coordination with Mu Cang Chai district, is guiding people to apply synchronized technical measures in rice cultivation, especially in areas with key tourism activities; and encouraging people to preserve the original form and promote the value of historical sites and heritage.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Yen Bai province, in order to proactively and thoroughly prepare the necessary conditions for organizing the reception ceremony and festival to ensure requirements are met, the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Letter No. 1584 UBND-VX dated May 30, 2022, on preparing the necessary conditions for organizing tourism activities and events.
From now until the end of 2022, districts, towns, and cities in Yen Bai province will also organize many other tourism programs and events such as: programs to introduce and promote destinations, products, and farm experiences growing oranges, vegetables, and fruit trees; ethnic sports competitions in the Thac Ba Lake area; launching spiritual tourism tours in Yen Bai city; the Festival of practicing the worship of the Mother Goddess Thuong Ngan associated with the New Rice Festival at Dong Cuong Temple and organizing the ceremony to receive the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Certificate for the Dong Cuong Temple Festival; the ceremony to receive the National Historical and Cultural Monument ranking certificate for Thac Ba Mother Goddess Temple; organizing the experience of the coming-of-age ceremony of the White-clothed Dao people; the coming-of-age ceremony of the Red Dao people in Luc Yen district...
