The international cruise ship Coral Princess (also known as "Coral Princess," registered in Bermuda, operated by Princess Cruises, a subsidiary of Carnival Corporation & plc, USA) has docked at Cam Ranh International Port as part of its voyage along the Vietnamese coast. The Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism announced that the group of tourists will be divided into several smaller groups to visit Nha Trang and other tourist attractions in the city over the course of a day.
Although the next ships to dock at Cam Ranh port have not yet been determined, the arrival of the Coral Princess in Khanh Hoa today is a testament to our efforts and the support from the tourism industry and related units, especially given the ongoing repairs at Nha Trang port and the cancellation of many cruise ship services recently.
The international cruise ship Coral Princess docked at Cam Ranh International Port during its voyage along the Vietnamese coast, bringing 2,300 passengers to Khanh Hoa province.
According to the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, after docking at Cam Ranh International Port, tourists will be offered tours organized by Tan Hong Company to visit Nha Trang city, its outskirts, Nha Trang city by cyclo, the Cai River, and rural villages. In addition, the company will provide shuttle services from Cam Ranh International Port to resorts in Cam Ranh, allowing tourists to freely choose to visit other attractions by private bus. The ship is expected to depart in the afternoon of the same day to continue its voyage to Hong Kong (China).
This is the first international cruise ship to arrive at Cam Ranh port while Nha Trang port is undergoing renovations.
Since the beginning of the year, Khanh Hoa has welcomed 27 international cruise ships with 55,516 tourists disembarking for sightseeing. This is a positive sign for the recovery and development of cruise tourism in Vietnam in general and Khanh Hoa in particular, contributing to the success of Khanh Hoa's tourism industry.
Cam Ranh International Port has a total length of 2,147 meters, including two piers capable of accommodating passenger ships up to 226,000 GT. The port is located 5 nautical miles from the international shipping lane; the anchorage area in front of the port, covering 303 hectares, is situated in the sheltered Binh Ba Bay, ensuring year-round maritime operations. During 2016-2017, Cam Ranh International Port welcomed many large ships such as Legend of the Seas, SuperStar Vigor, Mariner of the Seas, Genting Dream, and World Dream.
