According to information from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, a significant increase in the number of tourists is expected during the long holiday period of April 30th - May 1st. Amusement parks and tourist attractions in Ho Chi Minh City are expected to welcome approximately 969,000 visitors, a 2% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
Of these, domestic tourists are expected to account for the majority with approximately 325,000 arrivals, an increase of 1.6% compared to 2023. International tourists are expected to reach around 54,000 arrivals, an increase of 12.5% compared to the same period in 2023. This demonstrates the strong appeal of Ho Chi Minh City to both domestic and international tourists during this holiday period.

In Ho Chi Minh City, visitors can explore Ben Thanh Market and Binh Tay Market, learn to cook Vietnamese dishes; experience sand painting and traditional coffee brewing; take a Jeep tour of Ho Chi Minh City at night and enjoy street food; go to the Water Bus pier for a sunset cruise on the Saigon River; take the Les Rives speedboat to visit Can Gio with its monkey island, bat lagoon, and crocodile farm; take a speedboat to Ben Dinh - Cu Chi to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels; go to the rooftop of the Majestic Hotel to admire the panoramic view of the Saigon River and enjoy 5-star services...
The tourism product, the tour program visiting the National Architectural and Artistic Monument of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and People's Committee Headquarters, implemented by the Department of Tourism in coordination with other departments and agencies, continues to create a positive effect and has become a highlight of tourism during the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30) this year. Over the two days of the program (April 27-28), it welcomed 1,935 domestic and international visitors.
