Ha Long City, Quang Ninh province, has announced that it will be holding a hot air balloon festival during the upcoming National Day holiday on September 2nd. This event, the first of its kind in the city, aims to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Ha Long Bay becoming a World Natural Heritage site (1994-2024).
This year's festival is themed "Heritage City - The Colors of Ha Long." It features unique activities including: hot air balloon rides, hot air balloon tours, a hot air balloon lantern festival, and hot air balloon decorations on the ground. These meticulously prepared and well-planned activities promise visitors the most amazing experiences as they conquer the skies of this heritage bay. The event will be held at 30/10 Square and Ocean Park Beach.
The festival will take place at 30/10 Square.
The festival is scheduled to open on the morning of September 1st. Following the opening ceremony, hot air balloon rides will take place from 7-9 am and from 4:30 pm each day. To control the number of participants, Ha Long City will distribute free balloon ride tickets to residents and tourists.
Tourists will be given free tickets to attend the festival.
Hot air balloon tours will take place at 30/10 Square from 7:30 to 9:30 AM and from 3:30 PM daily. Additionally, a hot air balloon lantern festival will be held at 7:30 PM on September 2nd, 2024 at 30/10 Square, while ground-based balloon decorations will take place on September 1st and 2nd.
The festival's experiential activities are themed "Heritage City - The Colors of Ha Long".
The hot air balloon festival will offer locals and tourists impressive and unforgettable experiences as they admire the beautiful and majestic landscape of Ha Long Bay – a Heritage City – from above. This is an effort by Quang Ninh's tourism industry to promote the image, culture, and people of Ha Long, creating attractive tourism products for the summer of 2024, contributing to attracting a large number of people and tourists.
